Privacy policy
Updated September 15, 2026
This notice describes how Gargle Inc. handles information in Gargle Reporting, our marketing reporting application for dental practices and authorized Gargle team members. It supplements Gargle’s company privacy notice. The specific Google data restrictions below apply to Google user data accessed through this application.
Information we access and store
- Your account: name, email address, assigned role and client access, authentication records, and security and administrative activity.
- Client setup: practice names, domains, locations, service selections, reporting mappings, and selected tracking keywords.
- Google connections: the authorizing account’s identity when available, property and account identifiers, granted permissions, and authorization tokens used to retrieve permitted reports.
- Google reporting: Analytics traffic and engagement metrics; Search Console queries, pages, clicks, impressions and positions; and connected Business Profile information and performance. Google Ads connection setup reads accessible manager and advertiser account names, identifiers, status, currency and time zone to establish client mappings. Ads performance reporting is not yet enabled.
- Other connected services: CallRail data used to calculate aggregate call and form reports, Salesforce client information used for setup where supplied, and SerpAPI results for selected keywords, markets and devices.
How we use information
We use this information to authenticate users, enforce client access, maintain connections and mappings, generate and cache reports, compare reporting periods, support the service, and investigate errors or misuse. Search queries from Search Console are reporting data; they do not identify the individual person who searched.
Google permissions and limited use
Google Analytics and Search Console connections request read-only access. Google Business Profile uses Google’s business management permission; the reporting integration uses it to retrieve connected profile data. Google Ads uses Google’s Ads management permission; this integration only reads account information and does not change campaigns or budgets. Administrators choose which properties and advertiser accounts are assigned to a client.
Gargle Reporting’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements. Google user data is used to provide and improve the user-facing reporting features you authorize. It is not sold, used for advertising targeting, or used to train generalized artificial intelligence or machine learning models.
Human access to Google user data is limited to your consent for specific data, security investigations, legal obligations, or aggregated and anonymized internal operations as permitted by Google’s Limited Use requirements.
Sharing and service providers
Reports are available to authorized users assigned access to the relevant client, including Gargle staff. Cloudflare provides application hosting and storage. Resend delivers authentication emails. SerpAPI receives the search keyword, market and device parameters needed for a requested ranking check. Connected services process requests under their own terms and privacy policies.
We transfer Google user data only as necessary to provide or improve the authorized reporting features, for security, with user consent where required, or as otherwise permitted by Google’s Limited Use requirements, including applicable legal obligations. Google data is not supplied to data brokers or advertising networks.
Storage and security
The application stores account settings, connection records, mappings, cached reporting results and ranking history. Stored Google authorization credentials are encrypted. Authenticated sessions and role-based access controls restrict access to client information. No online service can guarantee absolute security.
Retention, disconnection and deletion
Information is retained for the period needed to provide reporting, maintain requested history and meet applicable legal, security and contractual requirements. Disconnecting an account stops use of that saved connection; it does not automatically erase previously stored reports or administrative records.
An administrator can remove a Google connection in the dashboard’s Connections area. You can also revoke access through your Google Account connections. To request access, correction or deletion of stored information, email info@gargle.com with “Gargle Reporting privacy request” and the relevant practice or account. We may need to verify your identity and authority before handling the request. Any retention required by law or applicable agreements will be explained when responding.
Cookies and external links
The application uses cookies for authentication and session security. Links to external services take you to sites with their own privacy practices. This application is intended for authorized business users.
